September at the Irish Arts Center

Looking forward to the 8 performance residency September 20-22 and 25-29 by Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill at the Irish Arts Center at 553 W. 51st St. For tickets:

We have special guests each night of the residency:

Sept. 20: Thomas Bartlett aka Doveman, piano. Thomas plays with The Gloaming (along with Martin and Dennis, Iarla O Lionaird and Caomhin O Raghallaigh and is represented by Roth Arts) and tours with assorted luminaries including Antony and the Johnsons, the National, Glen Hansard and many more. This is a special evening with a reception with the artists after the show. (Higher ticket price but worth it.)

Sept. 21: Poet Paul Muldoon, poetry editor of the New Yorker, Pulitzer Prize winner, and Princeton professor (and rock musician.)

Sept. 22: Our own Cleek Schrey,  fiddler, of Ghost Trio will collaborate with Martin and Dennis.

Sept. 25: The fabulous guitarist Kyle Sanna

Sept. 26: Dan Trueman, also from Princeton and wonderful hardanger fiddler and composer. Dan just arranged three songs for Iarla O Lionaird's recent performance in Dublin with the RTE Concert Orchestra. Stunning.

Sept. 27: The multi-talented violinist Dana Lyn is the guest.

Sept. 28: Ivan Goff, also a Roth Arts artist, (Ghost Trio) and an uilleann pipe virtuoso.

Sept. 29:  Doug Wieselman, multi-instrumentalist, downtown, uptown, makes a special appearance with Martin and Dennis.

In addition to the guests above, special guests will pop in during the week. You'll have to just come by and see who shows up!

See you there...
